The revised Boundaries Commission proposals for Enfield Southgate parliamentary constituency banish Palmers Green ward to Edmonton and Bowes ward to Hornsey and Wood Green - as supported by the present MP for Southgate Bambos Charalambous, and as consistently opposed by David Burrowes and the Enfield Southgate Conservative Association. They also splice the remains of Southgate to fragments of Finchley to create an artificial "Finchley and Enfield Southgate".
